Great teachers never stop growing. This summer, Tommy Smith Elementary is proud to share that some of our educators are spending their break doing exactly that: sharpening their skills, expanding their toolkits, and bringing new ideas back to our students.

Most recently, four of our teachers returned from the Ron Clark Academy (RCA), a transformative professional learning experience focused on strengthening professional practice. Later this summer, additional staff members will attend Get Your Teach On (GYTO), a nationally recognized conference known for high-energy, practical strategies that teachers can use right away.

We share this because we think families deserve to know: the adults in your child's building are not just working during the school year. They are learning, growing, and preparing. When teachers invest in their craft, students benefit. We are proud of every TSE educator who chose to spend part of their summer in a learning seat because they believe our Panthers are worth it.
