Principal Welcome

Welcome to Tommy Smith Elementary School. We are located in Panama City right off Hwy 231 in Cherokee Heights. We serve grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Although we stop at 5th grade, as they move on, our students and families have the unique opportunity not to have to travel too far as our neighbor, Merritt Brown Middle School sits right next door and serves grades 6 through 8th. Having our former Panthers right next door is special to us as we can continue to watch them grow.

Tommy Smith is committed to continuous improvement in meeting the learning needs of all individuals. Priority is placed on strong curriculum and instructional practices that incorporate a variety of learning activities designed to accommodate differences in learning styles. Additionally, it is essential that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to grow and learn. Tommy Smith Elementary’s mission was developed from these beliefs.
